[NEWS] D-NA vs CNBLUE who will win " Rookie Award " at The "20th Seoul Music Awards"

The “20th Seoul Music Awards” is quickly approaching, and fans have been debating over who the winner for the year’s ‘rookie award’ should be.

Being an award that can only be won once in an artist’s lifetime, the award is a highly coveted one.  The music industry experienced an influx of talented debuts in 2010, making the competition this year fiercer than any other’s.

A total of 13 teams have managed to enter the nominations through ARS voting as of January 10th.  The two groups going head-to-head for the award are five-member male group, The Boss, and four-member male band, CNBLUE.

With “Tokyo Boy” as its representative track, The Boss ( D-NA ) has earned 36.3% in support votes so far, while CNBLUE (the band behind the hits i'm a Loner” and “LOVE) is just behind with 35.5% of the votes, leaving a 0.8% difference between the winners. F.CUZ and SISTAR are following with 9.5% and 6.2% of the votes respectively.

The ‘Bonsang’ currently has B2ST ranked in first with 30.1% of the votes , followed by Super Junior and SNSD with 20% and 10.5% of the votes respectively. SHINee is heading the ’Popularity Award’ with 32.7%, followed by Super Junior and SNSD with 26.6% and 20.2% of the votes, respectively.
The awards ceremony will broadcast through ystar at 7:10PM KST on January 20th.

[NEWS] CNBLUE "RE-MAINTENANCE" ranks #2 on Japan's "Daily Oricon" chart

CNBLUE unveiled their third Japanese single, “RE-MAINTENANCE“, on January 9th and they’ve already managed to rank in at #2 on Japan’s daily Oricon chart without any official promotions.
Unlike their Korean promotions, CNBLUE has ranked on the ‘Oricon top 10′ through only live performances; they were even chosen as the artists whose debut Japanese music fans were looking forward to the most this year.

“RE-MAINTENANCE” features a total of four tracks including “Try Again, Smile Again,” “Don’t Say Goodbye,” “Kimio,” and an instrumental.  All four songs were written and produced by the members, which demonstrated their determination to reach the top with their talents, instead of their visuals.
The group is also preparing for their four-city “ZePP Tour“, starting in Osaka.  The tour sold out all 12,000 seats, a fantastic sign for their year ahead.

Sensibility dictionary 'A grown-up'

Jungshin: Grandfather band
More matured than now, like we always say, we will be performing as 'Grandfather band' whom everyone envies.

Jonghyun: What is greater than anything else
As Cnblue members get older, untill we all become bald like in my drawing!
We will performing live, keep doing music.
This is my dream and my purpose. There is no greater thing than this.
(He drew 'CNBALD'. And Minhyuk looks like an octopus..

Yonghwa: What I draw in my mind is...
CNBLUE grow more, become to be named as a national(?) band,
at an outdoor stage, with many audience, enjoy together. I am drawing of it.

Minhyuk: Getting older on the stage
On bigger stage, with more fans, CNBLUE will be enjoying live performance.
I will be a grown-up who grow older on the sage, won't I?

( note from saturn. )
* I read full interview of pati pati. It's full of their pure love and passion toward music. Their comments about 3 new songs are interesting. Jonhyun said, he felt fresh mood to hear 'Try again smile again'. So he played the acoustic guitar, not the elec guitar. Minhyuk also said, to express this fresh mood, he made fresh rhythm and practiced so much before recording. Jungshin said, when he heard this melody first, he felt something soft and it reminded him all happy moments he experienced. He tried to keep this image in recording.
Jonghyun's 'Kimio' was made some time ago. (They performed it for 10 secs at Oct.28 Japan fan meeting.). He originally made it slower, like a drama OST. But as it's being arranged, it became to have faster tempo. So the mood of this song was changed. He said he experienced the power of arranging. *
