[NEWS] CNBLUE to embark on concert tour in Japan next week

Korean rock band CNBLUE will hit the road for a four-city concert tour in Japan, starting with their first show this weekend.

FNC Music announced in a press release on Thursday that the group will kick off their "Zepp Tour," beginning with a show in Osaka on Sunday followed by three more stops including Fukuoka on January 11, Nagoya on January 13 and Tokyo three days later.

CNBLUE, composed of members Jung-shin, Jong-hyun, Yong-hwa and Min-hyuk, made their debut in Korea early last year with their hit single "Alone" and mini-album "Bluetory" after releasing two singles in Japan.

The group has led a successful music career overseas as well, going double platinum in Taiwan and placing in the top ranks of the prestigious Oricon chart in Japan. They have also held several fan meetings in Japan, meeting with several thousand fans during the event.

The quartet is currently working on releasing their new album in February and each member has been busy expanding their careers in the entertainment industry, appearing in dramas, movies and variety shows.

[NEWS] CNBLUE Yonghwa Gets Attention for His Rock-Chic Look

CNBLUE's Yonghwa has been gaining attention due to his rock-chic look during the KBS Gayo Festival on December 30th. The group performed their hits "I'm A Loner" and "LOVE" and added an edgier rock sound to their songs. Yonghwa especially made an impression on fans that night.

Instead of wearing his typical suits during CNBLUE's performances, he wore a stylish all black outfit, decorated with a necklace by Golden Dew (entitled French Kiss). Fashion critics have been giving him positive reviews particularly due to his point jewelry and said that the jewelry helped him gain an edgier look.

Golden Dew representatives said that it was a smart idea to match the French Kiss necklace with a rock-chic look. It gave Yonghwa a toned-down, modern look of the rebellious, yet stylish fashion style.

[NEWS] "Banmal Song" by YongSeo couple may not be released officially afterall

It seems that Seohyun and Jung Yonghwa’s ‘Banmal Song’ will not be released officially, despite huge demand and anticipation from fans.

The ‘Banmal Song’ was composed and sung by Seohyun and Yonghwa on MBC’s ‘We Got Married’. The music and the lyrics for the chorus was written by Yonghwa while Seohyun helped to complete some other parts of the lyrics. The couple uploaded the ‘Banmal Song’ video clip on Youtube and to date, it has recorded more than a million views.

However, despite its popularity, this song might not be released officially. On January 5th, CN BLUE’s agency told Newsen, “There will not be a duet. Even if CN BLUE plan to release it as their own song, the part of the lyrics Seohyun composed will not be included”.

The duet between the ‘couple’ is rather impossible at the moment in view of SNSD and CN BLUE’s activities. Nevertheless, there have been talks among netizens about the release of the ‘Banmal Song’ on various sites.

A representative in charge of MBC’s ‘We Got Married’ said, “The song was composed based on Yonghwa and Seohyun’s feeling of being in love. That is why the song is so meaningful to them”.

Meanwhile, on the episode of ‘We Got Married’ which will be aired on January 8th, Seohyun will be making a trip to Yonghwa’s hometown, Busan to meet his mother for the first time. During the meeting, the ‘mother-in-law’ mentioned some of Seohyun’s favorite, the seafood kimchi and fist-sized fermented bean paste stew. Make sure you catch the goguma couple on January 8th to find out their reactions.
